donuts coffee

If you happen to be in Bordeaux (France) for any reason, I can recommend Donuts Coffee.

Central location, great selection of Teas and Coffees (I recommend the Chai Latte), free wifi, friendly staff, great music, a terrace, and generally great atmosphere.

Check out their website and blog for their address and more info (in French!).

As a follow up to my previous post Cate Blanchet and Ray Winston are to star in the new Indiana Jones movie.

Having recently seen Sexy Beast, and knowing for some time that Cate Blanchet is an excellent actress, I am now feeling a bit more positive about this project. Of course, George Lucas saying that Harrison Ford would play his age was good news too.

Title and plot details will be kept under raps until the first Trailer appears some time in November.

Indy 4 opens Worldwide on the 22nd of May, 2008.

Snap - I’m posting the same thing as my sister. Again.

SnapI know it must seem like every time my sister posts something I blog about it*, but it can’t be helped if she keeps posting great stuff.

Ok, I won’t post about her next couple of posts, I’ll just assume you’re checking them out yourselves - but I had to post about this one because I was surprised at the style - it caught my eye because it’s a new style for her. Or at least it’s new to me.

Check out Janies post to get a link to a biger version.
Love to see more in this style. More please.

Oh and just in case you’re not familiar with it, Janie did this for Illustration Friday:

Illustration Friday is a weekly creative outlet/participatory art exhibit for illustrators and artists of all skill levels. It was designed to challenge participants creatively. We believe that every person has a little creative bone in their body. Illustration Friday just gives a no-pressure, fun excuse to use it. No clients looking for a particular thing. No one judging the outcome of the work. It’s a chance to experiment and explore and play with visual art. So welcome, novices and pros alike.

Thanks for taking part!

So the competition winners have been announced, but we all know it’s not the winning or the losing, it’s the taking part that matters.

So a HUGE thanks to everyone who entered our draw and caption competition, as I’ve said many times, the high quality of entries was incredible and made it very difficult to pick a winner.

Not veryone who entered left a link to their blogs or website, but here are those who did, it’s worth paying them a visit because judging by the entries to the competition they are all super-smart!

Phew, I’ve just been to all of them, and sure enough there are some great blogs and sites in there, some I was already aware of and some I hadn’t come accross before.

A big thank you also to those who didn’t leave a link:

Daniel, thelastangryman, Cormac, Fergal, Gary, Kev, conor, Martin, Ben Haugh, Glen Holmes, Jess, bleachontop, Lanod, Dosko, pmc, Sean B, bunster, gillygooley, Dave Winders, John, Brian Lanigan, David Charles Byrne, Joris, Rob Falconer, lowerbrau, Bryan, berg, Nuranis and Kev

As John Spillane would say ‘Well done everyone, well done.’
