Sigrún Eyrunardóttir, you must have some sense-of-humor genes from the deep jungles of the Amazon, because this is exactly what Icelandic humor is about. It’s cold and dark.
Also, this is definitely social criticism as well. The horrors of society that people talk about in hushed voices is voiced out loud and the comics don’t just make you laugh, you can’t help but thinking a little about the background of some of these stories as well, which usually has something to do with the problems of today’s society.

Just to sum up: I love his comics

I read this book with a hangover at a friends house

I couldn’t stop giggling to myself and had to stop every five seconds to show them all how funny the next comic was.

i read this book! its hilarious. im 11, and i know i shouldnt even know half the concepts in this book let alone find them funny, but i find myself recommending it.

I was just looking around in a bookstore while my boyfriend was searching for the book he wished to purchase when I came across “Should You Be Laughing At This”. I started skimming through it because the title caught my eye.
I don’t think I have read any book more sick and funny all at the same time! Yes, I know I have a bit of a sick sense of humor…but AMAZING!

This book is the funniest and the sickest humor I have ever read. I’ve even recommended it to the people who will find it just as funny. If you can’t laugh at this, then get a knife and kill yourself. This is FUNNY stuff!!!!!

i am still wondering if this is ment to be funny or if its ment to be sickening. i dont find any humour what so ever in this book.i didnt think us icelanders could come up with such bad jokes. i am appauled.

i recieved this book for christmas and i have never laughed so much in my life. this book became an integeral part of the best christmas day party i’ve ever attended. yes u should laugh, cringe a little to balance it up but laugh and laugh and laugh. its brilliant!
