Electric Picnic Line Up News!!!!
April 2nd, 2007 by Frank
I have my Electric Picnic ticket already. I didn’t care who was playing, after last year I knew I would be going in 2007 no matter what.
But having said that I have been eagerly awaiting news… and now, from an unconfirmed source (Garret seems to have got hold of the EP press release), here is some line up info:
- The Beastie Boys
- Iggy And The Stooges
- Bjork
- Jarvis Cocker
- The Jesus And Mary Chain
- LCD Soundsystem
- Primal Scream
- Damon Albarn-led The Good, The Bad and The Queen
- Modest Mouse
- Polyphonic Spree
- Craig Armstrong
- Soul II Soul
- Paul Hartnoll
- Dublin Gospel Choir
That’s a pretty damn good line up so far - those I know of them anyway. I’ve never seen Iggy play live so I’m really looking forward to that.
And I’m sure there’s still plenty more to look forward to - last year a lot of the smaller acts were the best fun, I’ll be watching for further updates!
Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning for those of you who didn’t buy early like me!
Get your tickets! See you there!

Looks rubbish to me. As much as it pains most people to say it, Oxegen seems like a better prospect this year.

Noooooooooooooooooo! Heresy!
Yeah, ok the Oxegen line up is pretty good. But don’t you know MCD is Satan?
EP will be FUN. Oxegen will be tents on fire and fights.
Even if NO bands played EP I’d choose it over Oxegen.
Besides, there’s plenty there to keep me interested. More interesting initial headline acts this year then last year (for my taste), and I loved last year so I’m highly optimistic!

Yeah, plus last year I enjoyed planty of the main acts but it was the smaller acts that really made it for me - Jim Noir & David Kitt were both incredible as were the Warlords of Pez and that Brass Band crowd whose name I forget… The Frames were incredible too (not a small gig I know but just thought I’d mention them anyway, they converted me into a fan with that gig.

couldn’t say really, I imagine they’re going well because the boutique camping was sold out before the acts were even announced, so that must be some indicator…
