But for a step by step approach with videos I have a paid site for $2.95 first week and $19/month thereafter. That's much cheaper than private lessons and you get to interact with me in the forums, not just buy a dvd and study on your own. I buy tons of books and DVDs which are great, but it's also nice to discuss questions with the teacher. Or you can scour the internet looking for good lessons on your own, and hopefully you can find a step by step approach. Many people have ADD these days and don't really stick to practicing any one thing before jumping to the next cool thing. I teach guitar online with lots of free youtube videos. There's a surprising lack of helpful video tutorials out there, too and all the dvds are about 25 quid and don't really tell you much. guitarnoise.com is about the best I've seen, with it's easy songs for beginners but it's not great. a lot of the songs I haven't heard before and really video is needed, not just mp3.
