Cereal Killer…

Well, there it is folks - the last ever BifSniff Cartoon. I think Bif produced a damn good one to go out on. Apt too, given that a lot of our cartoons were pun based!
If we had to call a halt to the toons I’m glad Inspector Lynch got one last outing - I always liked Lynch. He has starred now in a total of five cartoons, including this one.
The other four are:
I was really happy with the way the art for this one turned out too, so as a last BifSniff Cartoon I think it’s as perfect as it could be.
Kudos to Bif for coming up with so many great ideas over the last two and a half years or so!
I’m sad to see them go - I will be prone to fits of nostalgia over the next few days and may take you on a trip down memory lane, revisiting some of my favourite cartoons - and I may be asking you what your favourites were too… be ready!
Ah well. The carnival is over.

Sorry to see you go, you’ve given me lots of great laughs when the rest of the world seems to take life too seriously.

Well Franks going to continue with the site sans cartoons and I’m going to try follow up on some other stuff, such as the childrens book, another short film, my insanely complex feature film script, some microshort thingies and whatever else I can think of. BTW I have a brilliant idea for a series of sketches based around the the upcoming Irish elections, if anyone’s interested.

This guy did the recent Garda meteorite hit the line animation.. he’d do an interesting job on the political sketches if anyone knew how to contact him…

This is his youtube profile and I know that Gingerpixel had an email from him. Surprising lack of contact details on his website. That animation is ‘king class though.

I wasn’t really serious about that bit. But if I had been, I don’t think finding an animator was going to be my biggest problem. Getting someone to pay for it is, as always, the real difficulty.

True. Although an animator like that probably knows the ropes for getting funding inside out…

You say that as if there’s some great well of money that can be accessed if you know the right handshake. Fact is, for something like this, you need a production company with a strong track record to pick it up and run with it.

I actually said it as if there were channels and procedures through which money can be obtained for development of such projects. There are.
Those who make a living from developing animations will know the ins and outs of the channels and procedures from experience, such that they don’t face the steep learning curve you would face if trying to obtain funding to pay for an animator yourself.
The animator I mentioned works, or worked, for Boulder Media who may (or may not) just be a production company with a strong track record who could pick it up and run with it…

I was being facetious. I know, or have access to, any number of animators working for reputable companies. It’s just not a very viable project to run with in the timeframe.

Fair enough. Mind you - the speed at which he turned around the prank call one gives one pause for thought.
