Thirteen photographs that changed the world, apparently. An interesting, though not quite definitive, list which also gives a little of the background behind each of the pictures. Some ommisions that maybe should have been there, as mentioned in the comments, are the Napalm girl one and the defiant Chinese protester standing his ground in front of a tank. There are others, of course, but if you’re making a list I guess there’s always going to be disagreement.

    There’s certainly an argument but it could be said that the impact was made by the act itself rather than the photograph. Haven’t really thought how that argument plays out with regards the other photographs though.

    The priest holding up the white hanky during bloody Sunday is another one and that maybe should have made it.

    How bizzare, I was going to say Father Daly Holding the hanky on Bloody Sunday too! I said nothing because it was originally recorded on film and not a photograph. Nice one!

    Yeah, I thought of that afterwards myself. The guy standing in front of the tank might have been too, when I think of it.
