Bus Eireann - Open Auditions

Open auditions are being held this Wednesday July 18th from 2pm-6pm at the Clarion Hotel for a new Bus Eireann T.V. commercial.

The ad will comprise of approx 20 clips of people hugging eg: mother and daughter, best friends, old friends, grandparent and grandchild.. that kinda thing.

The slogan will be: Bus Eireann - Bringing People Together

The directors are looking for enthusiastic people who’d like the opportunity to be involved.
No acting experience is required and everyone is welcome, young, old, big and small.

So come along with a friend, a group of friends, a family member or all of the above. The more the merrier.

The ad will be shot in the Cork area in or around August 18th.

There will be some payment.

GLAS VEGAS TG4 Competition

We are searching the country for all kinds of talented and engaging entertainers, aged 8 - 80; from musicians to contortionists, dancers to magicians, tightrope-walkers to comedians. We’ll be holding auditions nationwide next week, and televising the final heats. The overall winner will get the chance to perform live in Las Vegas in front of an audience of some of America’s top talent scouts and agents.

As this is for TG4, if the different acts have Irish, obviously that is a plus, though not a necessity - we are more focused on the quality of the performance.

A comedy concert celebrating “Oirishness” produced by Barabbas, presented by Bulmers Comedy Festival at the Olympia Theatre September 7th and 8th 2007

Barabbas Theatre Company invites all singers to take part in a unique event. Conceived by Barabbas, 40 Songs of Green is an hilarious evening of story and song celebrating the idea of Irishness. 40 Songs of Green opened St. Patrick’s Festival at the National Concert Hall in March 2007. Following this hugely successful premiere, Barabbas presents the show again at the Olympia Theatre as a highlight of Bulmers Comedy Festival 2007.

REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to sing in tune and basic music reading skills
• Available for rehearsals and performances: Tuesdays and Thursdays 7pm – 10pm, from August 7 to Sept 6; Saturday 1 Sept 11am – 2pm; dress rehearsal on Friday 7 Sept 2pm – 6pm; performances Friday 7 and Saturday 8 Sept 8pm
