“Come along to learn Improvisation techniques, tought to you by Snatch Comedy! The troupe has been winning over audiences throughout Ireland for 5 years. During this time they have created and performed in Ireland and abroad numerous residencies with their famous improv show, radio show, improv in schools, street improv, ImprovMatches, comedy quiz, corporate events and even original sketch shows and theatre plays.

Come and experience up close and personal, the hilarious rollercoaster that is Snatch. Through exercises and games, you will learn about team work, build your skills and self-confidence and develop your own thrilling exploration of spontaneity and physical imagination.”

Building on that idea — and on the success of Romeo & Juliet – director Peadar Donohoe brings the same cast to this production set in 16th century Venice. TONIGHT is the opening night of the THE REINDEER MONOLOGUES, a cracking Xmas comedy for grown-ups in aid of some of Cork’s most important charities; at the CORK ARTS THEATRE (Carroll’s Quay) from Dec 11 to Dec 16 (Tuesday to Sunday night). Call 021 450 5624 to book.

It’s a fun Christmas comedy about Santa’s 8 reindeer the day before Christmas Eve. Written by Jeff Goode, proceeds from the shows will directly help the great work of three charities serving Cork and Munster: ARC Cancer Support House, the Breast Care Unit of The South Infirmary Hospital and Cork’s Hard of Hearing & Deaf Communities.

Directed by Jim Hyde, the show stars Cora Fenton, Adrian Scanlan, Taylor Lane, Kate McSwiney-O’Rourke and Brian Stynes. The opening night is hosted by Audivox Hearing Centre, Wilton Shopping Centre; WED night by Quality Hotel, Shandon; FRI night by Shandon Street Hospital; SAT night by Trulife - Medical Equipment & Services, Cornmarket St; and SUN night by Sheena’s Boutique, Oliver Plunkett Street.
