Falling Slowly - A Rehearsed Reading

February 11th, 2008 by Eoin

Dave and I have written a play called Falling Slowly. It is getting a rehearsed reading, which I am directing, in the Granary Studio this Wednesday, the 13th, at 6pm. Admission is free and the more the merrier for us as we are looking for feedback and audience reaction. It is a romance story so perfect for the week that’s in it.

Mark is a regular twenty something muddling along in post Celtic tiger Ireland. He thinks life is easy until he meets someone worth falling for. Falling Slowly is the story of Mark’s realisation that life is not always simple and sometimes you have to fight for what you want. He doesn’t bargin on an old friend complicating things or on those unexpected events that can turn your life upside down in an instant. Can Mark figure out what he realy wants….or will he be too slow?

I would also like to take this opportunity to officially launch Clinic Media. It is our Production company, primarily focused on theatre and film. We were responsible for the recent production of Howie The Rookie but are officially launching with Falling Slowly, our first in-house production.

Falling Slowly, a new play written and directed by Eoin Ó hAnnracháin, based on a story by David O’Byrne and Eoin Ó hAnnracháin.

Rehearsed reading, Wednesday the 13th of February. 6pm, Granary Studio.
