Howie The Rookie: Time To Book Your Tickets
October 1st, 2007 by Eoin
With just over a week to go it is time to start booking your tickets for Howie The Rookie in the Granary New Director’s Festival. Mark O’Rowe’s play gets a new lease of life in Eoin Ó hAnnracháin’s first outing as a director. Nick Kavanagh and Stephen McCann take on the roles of The Howie Lee and The Rookie Lee respectively in what is sure to be must see theatre.
Mark O’Rowe’s Howie The Rookie is a journey through a nightmare Dublin, where enemies and allies are interchangeable, where the most brutal events take on a mythic significance. The events of one evening unfold through “baroque monologues climaxing in sudden, irresistible bursts of mayhem. - Jason Zinoman, New York Times

Can’t wait, I have purposefully avoided reading anything whatsoever about the play (including the little review above). Best of luck!
