They Never Froze Walt Disney – please spread the word for us…
December 13th, 2007 by FrankThey Never Froze Walt Disney is making a comeback! Previously mentioned here on BifSniff when it premiered in the Cork Midsummer Festival, this new Cork play will now be in the Granary in the New year.
Myself and fellow BifSniff author Eoin are both involved in the production, and Eoin has produced the above excellent YouTube ‘teaser trailer’ -
we’d really appreciate it if you put this YouTube clip on your blogs and websites and facebooks and myspaces and all that jazz.
Here’s the embed code:

I saw the show twice, or three times during the last run and I loved it. More info is available from the TheatreMakers website, here’s the bare essentials:

That youtube clip kinda only works if you’ve seen the play. Was there other footage shot? The dialogue is really funny, it’d be good to see more of it.
I can’t imagine it’d need much editing etc. but a few minutes of the back and forth would work really well.
Happy to help edit/whatever.
Blog disclaimer:
I’m an opinionated pain in the hole. My sister wrote/is in the play.

There’s more coming, this is the first teaser trailer but Eoin has more planned, and I think the next one is longer…
Maybe a little abstract but I wouldn’t go so far as to say it only works if you’ve seen the play. I think it would pique my interest…
However, I have seen the play, so objectivity might be a little difficult on this one!
As a teaser trailer I think it captures the spirit of the show really nicely…

Glad to hear there’s more coming. Don’t get me wrong, I really liked this, I just thought that more dialogue would’ve sold it better.

Thanks Green Ink…
Yeah, I’m looking forward to seeing what other segments they picked for the next YouTube bits…

Thanks for all the comments and thanks for doing that Green Ink. Anyone who’s not familiar with the play have any comments? It would help with the next few trailers.
Frank’s playing down the work he did on the trailer too. He deserves a lot of the credit.
